As a Medical Assistant you will be a professional dedicated to assisting in patient care management. Your duties are varied and include greeting patients, updating and filling patient medical records, filling out insurance forms, scheduling appointments and arranging admission and laboratory services. You might even work with patients with discharge instructions, authorize medication refills, or even perform x-ray procedures. As a Medical Assistant you will be classified as an allied health practitioner working in any of a number of different medical facilities.

South Central College’s Medical Assistant program can lead you to a Bachelor’s in Healthcare Management.
